Assonance

He drags his exhausted body out of bed
He thinks to himself, "Ugh.. Another day of this"
He clumsily stumbles to the bathroom to shower
He nearly falls back asleep as the warm water flows over his body
After getting dressed, he strolls downstairs where his parents are sitting at the table
They are way too awake and energetic for 6:30 in the morning
They attempt to start a conversation but he quickly shuts them down
He grabs his breakfast, throws himself into the dark maroon reclining chair, and turns on the TV
For the next 20 minutes, he immerses himself in SportsCenter and Boy Meets World reruns
As 7 o'clock rolls around, he goes back upstairs to brush his teeth
He packs a minuscule lunch for there is nothing good to eat at his house
Driving to his dreaded destination, he can only think about how much he wants the school year to be over
